clocked.tech is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information is collected when you use this site, how it is used, and your rights with respect to that information.
Information we collect
clocked.tech does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide personal information to use the site. If you subscribe to our email list, we collect your email address for the purpose of sending updates about new content. If you email us directly, to flag a sighting, ask a question, or reach out about a partnership, we only have whatever information you choose to include in that email.
Email newsletter
Our email newsletter is operated through Buttondown. When you subscribe, your email address is stored by Buttondown on our behalf. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email. Buttondown's privacy policy is available at buttondown.com/legal/privacy ↗.
AI training exclusion
The identification database on clocked.tech, including identification notes, confidence ratings, scene notes, and editorial descriptions, is original work owned by Thrum LLC. This content is not licensed for use in training artificial intelligence or machine learning models. Automated scraping of this site's content for AI training purposes is prohibited under our terms of use.
Third-party services
Cloudflare. This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and served through Cloudflare's network. Cloudflare may process your IP address and request metadata as part of providing DNS, CDN, and security services. See Cloudflare's privacy policy ↗.
Retailer links. This site links to third-party retailers. When you click through to a retailer, you are subject to that retailer's privacy policy. Retailers may set cookies on your device. clocked.tech has no control over and is not responsible for third-party data practices.
Analytics. clocked.tech uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-preserving analytics tool that does not use cookies, does not fingerprint users, and does not share data with third parties. No personally identifiable information is collected through our analytics.
Cookies
clocked.tech does not set first-party cookies. Third-party services referenced above may set cookies in accordance with their own policies.
Children's privacy
clocked.tech is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this site, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data including the right to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@clocked.tech. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have rights under GDPR. If you are a California resident, you have rights under CCPA. These rights include the right to know what personal data we collect and how it is used, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of sale of personal data. clocked.tech does not sell personal data.
Data retention
Email addresses collected through newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. Form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry.
